Texas Tech announces contract extensions for multiple coaches, including baseball coach Tim Tadlock
Texas Tech announced a slew of contract extensions were approved on Friday.
The Texas Tech University Board of Regents authorized University President Lawrence Schovanec to approve contract extensions for head baseball coach Tim Tadlock, director of track and field/cross country Wes Kittley, head men’s golf coach Greg Sands and head women’s tennis coach Todd Petty.
In five seasons with Texas Tech, Tadlock has led the Red Raiders to three trips to the College World Series and two Big 12 titles.
Kittle is entering his 20th season and is coming off a year where he led the men’s indoor and outdoor teams to conference championships. In his time, he’s produced 22 national champions and 155 Big 12 champions.
Sands just led his golf team to NCAA postseason play for the 17th-straight season, a record for any Red Raiders’ athletic program.
Petty completed his tenth season with the tennis program and led last season’s team to its fourth straight NCAA Sweet 16 appearance and it’s second straight Elite Eight appearance. He also led his team to a program-best 27 wins in the 2017 season.
