Earlier a few months ago we reported that Valve, the well-known American video game developer, publisher, and digital distribution company launched its own game streaming app, known as Steam Link for the tech giant Google’s most used mobile operating system, of course, Android in the form of beta. It is basically, an app that simply allows you to enjoy your PC games via streaming on the other devices, and now according to the latest reports, it is now finally available in the App Store of the tech giant Apple.

As the well-known American video game developer, publisher and digital distribution company, Valve discontinued the team that performed this same task and with the same name only 6 months ago, which is being now done without compromising the hardware in the smart devices.

As indicated by the company, of course, Valve itself, “to do this and make this work properly, we will need to have Apple devices in use and should be connected to a Wi-Fi network of 5GHz, or an Ethernet connection. While the supported commands simply include the Steam Controller itself and the MFi controls, like the SteelSeries Stratus Duo or the Gamevice for iPhone and iPad.

Basically, this approval comes only a few days after the judgment of the Supreme Court of the United States, which gave the green light to the demand for monopolistic practices in the App Store. As pointed out in the well-known media platform, The Verge, there is a difference between Android applications and the one that is now available on iOS, as the latter does not allow games to be purchased directly from the Steam Store.

This application was basically rejected last year by the tech giant Apple for “business conflicts with application guidelines.” After this, the tech giant Apple simply updated these policies, maintaining the inability of these simply to host their own marketplace in which, buying and downloading of any software is not approved by its own.

Apparently, this still stands even if the available applications are installed on another device. Currently, this type of applications, with mirroring of other services, are allowed to have purchases whenever they occur outside of the applications available in the App Store.

During the last event the tech giant Apple only focused on the services and a couple of months ago, Apple introduced its own video gaming service known as Apple Arcade which will be available as a paid service.

While now if we talk about its availability, then let me clarify that the Apple Arcade will be available by this fall, and will give access to a selection of exclusive video games.
